Member, committee and staff details are copied from public pages of the Oklahoma House of Representatives (okhouse.gov) and the Oklahoma State Senate (oksenate.gov). Each record shows its source address and copy date. Neither OK Capitol Guide nor this information, as presented here, is endorsed by the Oklahoma House of Representatives or the Oklahoma State Senate. Lobbyist expenditure summaries come from Oklahoma Ethics Commission filings as published by OkLobbyGuide. District lookups use the U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder.
Bills, votes and hearings
Bills, sponsors, actions, committee referrals, roll-call votes and many past committee meetings come from Open States bulk data (monthly PostgreSQL dump of Oct. 1, 2026, 2026-10-public.pgdump). Open States provides its data under a public domain dedication unless otherwise noted; attribution is appreciated — thank you, Open States / Plural Policy. Coauthors are read from the action text. Upcoming House meetings are copied from the public okhouse.gov calendar and Senate meeting notices from oksenate.gov, each with its address and copy date. The momentum score is our own calculation.
Bill and legislative-status pages on oklegislature.gov are not copied (its robots.txt disallows automated access); we link to it instead. Legislator portraits (146 from Wikimedia Commons, mostly LSB Photo Division public domain) are hosted here; see photo credits.
Rankings, map and topics
Effectiveness, rankings and allies are our own calculations from Open States bill actions, sponsors and roll calls; the formula is published on the rankings page. They count bill progress and vote agreement and are not judgments of a member's work. District maps use U.S. Census Bureau 2024 cartographic boundary files (state legislative districts and counties, 1:500,000), which are public domain; we simplified them for the web. Topics and industries come from our published keyword and committee rules; lobbyist principals are from the Oklahoma Ethics Commission via OkLobbyGuide. Weekly summaries are counted from the same bill actions, meetings and roll calls.
